Kansai Airport's International Terminal Debuts New Look in December 2023
The international departure area of Kansai International Airport's Terminal 1 is currently undergoing renovation and will reopen with a new look in early December 2023.
A New Duty-Free Shopping Area
Of note is the large duty-free shopping area, which includes duty-free beauty and perfume brands for first-time visitors to Japan, as well as a variety of famous wines and classic Japanese souvenirs that passengers love.
The space will be designed with reservation pick-up counters and the introduction of an online snack purchasing system to make the shopping process even smoother.
New Brand Stores
The new international departure area has four themed shopping and dining spaces: Peaceful, Active, Curious, and Fun.
The new brand stores will include boutique duty-free shops, souvenirs, drugstores, children's clothing, and a variety of foods such as light meals, coffee, beer, ramen, and sushi.
