April 29 (Tuesday, Holiday) – Opening Ceremony at Denkoku no Mori

The festival kicks off with a grand opening ceremony, setting the tone for the festivities ahead. Throughout the day, various stage events will showcase local talent and cultural performances, culminating in a spectacular Special Opening Parade featuring traditional folk dances and a special performance by Tokyo Disneyland® with beloved characters.

April 30 (Wednesday)

The Matsuzaka Shrine Grand Festival will take place, paying homage to key figures in the Uesugi clan with rituals and vibrant displays of local culture.

May 2 (Friday)

The day will feature the Buki Ceremony Military Parade, providing a tribute to the warrior spirit of the Sengoku era, followed by the Buki Ceremony, where participants will conduct rituals to pray for victory.

May 3 (Saturday, Holiday)

The final day starts with a Mikoshi Procession, followed by the grand Uesugi Army Parade, and culminates in the spectacular reenactment of the Battle of Kawanakajima, bringing to life one of the most pivotal moments in Sengoku history.

Location : Yonezawa, Yamagata, Japan. The Battle of Kawanakaji preformance will be held at Matsukawa riverbank (site of the Battle of Kawanakajima)
