This pottery experience class is located on the "Pottery Footpath" (Ceramics Walk). Beginners are also welcome! You can create original works just for the two of you and create wonderful memories. Town Station Tokoname-yaki Yamatane

A memorable gift for two, a "Maneki-neko" painting experience

Why not enjoy painting a beckoning cat using a brush and ceramic pigments? It only takes about 40 minutes, so it's easy to get started in between dates. About 45 days after painting, it's fired in a kiln and ready to go! The joy of working together is that you can have lively conversations, asking each other, "Which color is cute?" or "This one is nice!", and discovering a side of your partner you didn't know existed. Display the finished piece in your room as a wonderful memento of Tokoname date.

Maneki-neko painting course: 1,430 yen (tax included)

The instructor for the painting experience will be painter Yoshiko Tsuzuki. Her husband is traditional Tokoname ware craftsman Yutaka Tsuzuki, and they are a wonderful couple who work together to spread the appeal of Tokoname ware. Tsuzuki Yutaka's works are also available at Yamatane, so be sure to check them out.

You can also experience pottery making, where you can create your own original piece from scratch.
