Many travelers in Japan likely look forward to sampling authentic matcha green tea and also buying some to take home as a souvenir.
So for those people we recommend NAKAMURA TOKICHI on the GINZA SIX 4th Floor. NAKAMURA TOKICHI was founded in 1854 and is a long-standing tea merchant based in Kyoto's Uji area. As a leading merchant it has a history spanning some 170 years.
A meticulous attention to detail throughout the shop allows visitors to truly experience Japan's tea culture. For example, the floor is made of the same granite as the stone mill that's used to grind matcha tea leaves. Then the tables are finished with persimmon tanninーwhich is also used with tea-making tools―and traditional Japanese lacquer, among other techniques. All of these details have been thoughtfully designed.

The adjacent retail area has a wide selection of tea leaves and matcha products that are perfect for home use or as a gift.
