Ashikaga Flower Park: Enchanting Winter Lights at Flower Fantasy 2023

Ashikaga Flower Park will be a flower and art paradise from October 18 to February 14 during the Flower Fantasy 2023 event!
Using 5 million light bulbs, the park's stunning illuminations and art installations are shimmering during this fascinating season. Guests can gaze at dazzling displays that have won awards for seven consecutive years in a row, as well as see brand-new installations depicting all seasons of the year.
The park replicates through lights and projection mapping seasonal flowers that blossom throughout different times of the year. This allows guests to enjoy a park full of lights where all seasonal flowers come to life at once - a flower lover’s dream.

1. Home of the Heart: Fantasy Art of Japan’s Four Seasons

Cherry blossom petals float across a traditional Japanese rock garden as Japanese sliding doors open out onto a giant cherry blossom tree! The scene looks straight out of a traditional painting or house. Guests can see a variety of different imagery and experience all seasons from spring to autumn in Japan in one spot.
2. The Miraculous Wisteria

Acting as the centerpiece of the park, the gigantic wisteria trees are the main attraction of Ashikaga in spring. The trees blossom each spring turning the park into a paradise of purple and with a beautiful aroma.
The dainty lights create the illusion of wisteria in full bloom, bathing the park in purple. Guests can watch time pass as they watch the illuminations illustrate the life cycle of the wisteria, from blooming to falling petals, guests can admire wisteria in winter while surrounded by enchanting lights.
3. Rose Garden of Light: Happiness Garden

The rose garden of light is sure to make your heart soar! The romantic garden is full of hundreds of red illuminated roses creating a romantic and elegant environment. Guests can relish in beautiful displays that fit the theme of a garden of light flowers!
The garden serves as a beautiful attribution to the Flower of Light event and boasts a gigantic 120-meter wide light mural that acts as a backdrop, painting the horizon with mesmerizing flowers, petals, and illustrations.
4. Flower of Light: Hanachozu

The event will not only display LED flowers but will also display flower art with real flowers by combining flowers and water to create beautiful natural art displays.
Known as Hanachozu, this Japanese flower art can often be found at Japanese temples to provide healing to those who visit. The displays at the park replicate the same ones at local shrines and temples in Japan and offer a refreshing art display with ambient lighting.
5. Flower Castle

Decorated in rainbow colors head to toe, the Flower Castle garden area boasts a shimmering grand castle. It’s surrounded by a field of rainbow flowers like a glittering crown.
As rainbow flowers pave the way to the castle, a mural of moving flowers illuminates the background, guests can hear sounds and catch brilliant scheduled fireworks bursting with magnificent colors.
6. Fuji no Hana Monogatari of Light

Ashikaga has four types of wisteria blooming from mid-April to mid-May: pale red wisteria, large wisteria, white wisteria, and kibana (yellow) wisteria.
Painting the grounds with streams of yellow, purple, white, and light pink, the Fuji no Hana Monogatari of Light replicates all the colors that can be found in each type of wisteria, creating one large multicolored wisteria.
Visitors can walk under a pathway of beautifully colored draping lights and admire the reflective waters from the garden's pond, creating an ocean of lights.
7. Water Lilies of Light

Water lilies emerge from the garden's ponds during summer and autumn, adorning the waters with beautiful white flowers, the water lilies of light replicate these beautiful flowers and shine softly off the garden's ponds. 1. A Purple Paradise! Fusion of Light and Amethyst Sage: October 18 - Mid-November

2. Bright and Colorful Christmas Fantasy: Late November - Late December

3. New Year Illuminations, Soft Lights, and Natural Winter Flowers: January 1 - February 14
