Kyoto Station becomes art! “NAKED ART STATION” is back in SAKURA version
Naked's participatory art ``NAKED ART STATION -KYOTO-'', in which SAKURA art decorates the grand staircase in time with the sound of a street piano, will reappear in a cherry blossom version on the grand staircase of the JR Kyoto Station building.
``NAKED ART STATION'' is an art project from NAKED that focuses on ``stations'', which are the gateways where people from all over the world meet and come and go, and by turning the station itself into art, it updates the station as a lively place. The first event, held in the summer of 2023, is a participatory art in which LED fireworks are set off on a grand staircase when a street piano is played. The second installment in fall 2023 will feature participatory art and experiential art that will allow people to easily experience the traditional Japanese culture of the tea ceremony and the aesthetics of Sen no Rikyu. Many people using Kyoto Station, including inbound tourists, have experienced this experience.
In the third edition this spring, the street piano participatory art that became a hot topic mainly on SNS during the first edition held in the summer of 2023 will be re-released in a cherry blossom version. When you play the piano, cherry blossom art will spread on the LED lights on the grand staircase. Anyone can play the piano. It is a participatory art that both performers and audience can enjoy together through the piano, an instrument that is familiar to people all over the world. This time, we will also be installing an "interactive paper lantern" that lights up in cherry blossom color in conjunction with the sound of the piano in Muromachikoji Plaza overlooking the grand staircase.
Enjoy the space where the entire plaza is decorated with cherry blossom art.
