The World Cosplay Summit 2024 will be held in Nagoya, Japan from August 2nd to August 4th, 2024.

The World Cosplay Summit is an international festival of pop culture celebrating its 22nd year this time. After fully recovering from the impact of the pandemic, the event in 2023 saw participation from 226,600 people.

Main Venue: Oasis 21

World Cosplay Summit

Located in the heart of Nagoya, Oasis 21 will serve as the main venue for this event. Here, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day, ranging from stage programs to cosplay-related booth areas.

Special Photoshoot at Hisaya Odori Park

World Cosplay Summit

In the new area in Hisaya Odori Park, which integrates a commercial facility that opened in 2020, there is an approximately 80-meter-long water fountain where a special photoshoot will be held this year.

Additionally, with the Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER in the background, photoshoots with lighting effects are possible from daytime to nighttime.

The World Cosplay Championship

On August 3, the World Cosplay Championship, the top cosplay competition in the world, will take place.

This event, which started in 2005, features highly acclaimed cosplayers from 36 countries and regions who have won the representative qualifiers, engaging in heated battles based on themes from Japanese anime, manga, and games.

World Cosplay Summit

On August 4 (Sunday), a cosplay parade will be held starting from Osu Kannon. This parade, which departs annually with more than 1,000 participants, is a signature event of the Cosplay Summit.

As a satellite venue and exploration area, some stores will allow cosplay participants to enter in costume, welcoming them. Participation in the parade is free, and it begins at 10:30.

Various event tickets for the Cosplay Summit are available for purchase on the official website. This year, to make ticket purchasing and attendance easier for international fans, tickets are being sold in multiple languages on Peatix and KKday.
