Meet your guide at your hotel in Kyoto City or at Kyoto Station, and take a taxi to the famous sights. Visit Kinkaku-ji Temple, a World Heritage Site that shines with gold, and Nijo Castle, a World Heritage Site steeped in the history of the shogunate. In the afternoon, enjoy a food tour of Kyoto 's cuisine at Nishiki Market (lunch not included), and browse for souvenirs and other goods at Teramachi Shopping Arcade. 9:00 AM Meet at a hotel in Kyoto City or at JR Kyoto Station (travel by taxi).

09:30 Kinkaku-ji Temple

10:30 Nijo Castle (by taxi) *Closed: December 29-31, every Tuesday in January, July, August, and December, etc. (*Ninomaru Palace has separate closing days)

12:00 Nishiki Market

12:30 Lunch (additional charge / recommendations for nearby restaurants available)

14:00 Teramachi Shopping Street

15:30 Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine (by taxi)

17:00 Disband at the hotel or JR Kyoto Station (disbandment at a different location within the city is negotiable).
