Ikuchijima 1-Day Tour - Art, Nature & Island Charm (from Hiroshima)

Departing from Hiroshima Station or a hotel in the city, take the Shinkansen to Mihara. From the port, cross the Seto Naikai by ferry to Ikuchi Island(Seto). First, immerse yourself in the world of Hirayama Ikuo, a Japanese painter from the island, at the Hirayama Ikuo Museum of Art. For lunch, we will introduce you to local cuisine featuring seafood from the Setouchi Sea and citrus fruits. In the afternoon, tour the island's scattered contemporary art (outdoor works) from the car window and enjoy the seaside scenery at Sunset Beach. Next, enjoy the view of the Tatara Bridge, a symbol of the Shimanami Kaido, and visit Lemon Valley, where lemon groves spread out. It's a day to enjoy the tranquil pace of island life.

9:00 AM Meet at your hotel in Hiroshima City or at JR Hiroshima Station (If leaving your hotel, take a taxi to Hiroshima Station).

09:35 JR Hiroshima Station → Take the Shinkansen (Kodama) to Mihara Station

10:00 Arrive at JR Mihara Station → Approximately 5-minute walk to Mihara Port 10:40 Depart from Mihara Port → Take a ferry to Ikuchi Island

11:10 Arrive at Seto Port → Walk to Hirayama Ikuo Museum of Art
