What is Fujizakura Heights Beer?

Fujizakura Heights Beer Brewery is located at an altitude of 1,000m at the foot of Mount Fuji, surrounded by the natural beauty of Mount Fuji.

Fujizakura Heights Beer uses "Fujizakura Life Water", natural water from Mt. Fuji, pumped up from 150 meters underground at the company's water source, as its brewing water. "Fujizakura Life Water" is natural water from Mt. Fuji that is absorbed into the earth from rain and snow that falls on Mt. Fuji, and then slowly seeps into and is filtered through multiple layers of lava over the course of several decades, resulting in a well-balanced mixture of minerals from the earth.

Fujizakura Heights Beer Beer is an authentic German-style beer made with this water and brewing techniques cultivated at Demens Brewing College, one of the few nationally certified schools in Germany with over 100 years of history and many excellent brewers. Most of the ingredients are imported from Germany, and the beer is 100% malt (with some exceptions). In addition, most of the beer is not filtered, so it contains a lot of live yeast, allowing you to enjoy the original taste and aroma of the beer.

In addition to the four regular beers "Pils", "Weizen", "Rauch", and "Schwarzweizen", they also brew a fruit beer "Yuzu Weizen" using yuzu from Fujikawa-cho, Yamanashi Prefecture, as well as about 20 other limited edition beers throughout the year. They have also won numerous awards in competitions both in Japan and abroad, including a gold medal at the World Beer Cup, a global competition known as the Olympics of beer, and the World Beer Awards.

About Fujizakura Heights Beer's four classic varieties

Fresh and floral! Pils with a slightly spicy aroma

In addition to the deep aroma and bitterness of aroma and bittering hops, the rich flavor of malt is also prominent. You can enjoy the perfect balance of the three types of hops and a refreshing throat feel.

Style: German Pilsner

Alcohol content: 5.0%

Bitterness (IBU): 30

Scent: Herbal and floral

Taste: Clear, sharp and bitter

Characterized by its fruity flavor! Weizen

This ale beer is made from over 50% wheat malt. It is the culmination of our brewery's efforts to overturn the typical image of beer as crisp and smooth. The banana-like clove and ester aroma comes from pure fresh yeast, and it has a smooth fruity taste with reduced hop bitterness.

Style: South German Hefeweizen

Alcohol content: 5.5%

Bitterness (IBU): 12

Aroma: Gorgeous ester and clove scent

Taste: Fruity, sweet and mellow

Rauch, with a soft smoky aroma

"Smoked beer" is made by smoking malt with beechwood chips to infuse the smoky flavor into the malt. It is a very unique beer with a smoked food-like aroma the moment it is poured into the glass, and its mild mouthfeel makes it suitable for a wide range of pairings. Rauch, with its soft smoky aroma, may seem peculiar at first glance, but it is actually very easy to drink, and the mellow malt flavor is one of its great features.

Style: Bamberg style Rauchbier

Alcohol content: 5.5%

Bitterness (IBU): 21

Aroma: Rich smoke aroma

Taste: Smoky and malty sweetness

Fruity dark beer! Schwarz Zweizen

A total of seven types of malt are exquisitely blended, including caramelized and roasted barley and wheat. This dark beer combines the roasted aroma of coffee beans with the clove aroma of Weizen, resulting in a dark beer with the fruity flavor unique to Weizen and the caramel/roasted aroma.

Style: Dunkelweizen

Alcohol content: 5.0%

Bitterness (IBU): 16

Aroma: Fruity and roasty

Taste: Sharpness and sweetness coexist

Awards: World Beer Cup, etc.
