Share-cycle service contents

Yame City has a share-cycle service that spans the three cities of Yame, Chikugo, and Yanagawa. You can now cycle around Yame City and travel from Yame City to Chikugo City or Yanagawa City.

You need to install COGICOGI application software. Share-cycle service  is available 24 hours a day. Five ports or parking lots in three cities can be  available for rent and return of a share-cycle. A share-cycle is electric  power-assisted bicycle and can be used for a long-run cycling as well as  for uphill cycling. Enjoy Chikugo area, where there are a lot of  sightseeing spots to go, using a share-cycle.

800 JPY for 3 hours, 1,200 JPY for 6 hours and 1,500 JPY for 9 hours (as of July, 2024)

*Extension fee: 300 yen per hour

*Payment can only be made by credit card through the dedicated app. Cash payments are not accepted.

*Helmets are available for rental (rental and return only at the port of Yame Tourist Information Center)

Yame Tourist Information Center

Yame tourist information center is located at the north of Yame traditional crafts museum and provides a lot of tourist information of Yame area. Please stop by and get tourist information, including how to reach to Yame Central Tea Plantation and other route maps, event information. You can find a COGICOGI share-cycle spot, or parking lot, where rent of helmets or headpieces are available. Baggage storage service is also available.

How to get to Yame City from Fukuoka Airport (by car)

Fukuoka Airport → Kyushu Expressway → About 10minutes from Yame IC Exit

How to get to Yame City from Fukuoka City Center (train/bus)

[From Hakata] JR Hakata Station → (about 50 minutes by JR) → JR Hainuzuka Station → (about 20 minutes by Horikawa bus) → Get off at Fukushima bus stop

[From Tenjin] Nishitetsu Fukuoka Tenjin Station→ (about 40 minutes by Nishitetsu train) → Nishitetsu Kurume Station → (about 40 minutes by Nishitetsu bus) → Get off at Fukushima bus stop
