What is the Ukiyo-e Exhibition?

The "Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition KAGOSHIMA" produced by HITOHATA Co., Ltd. will be held at the Kagoshima Prefectural History and Art Center Reimeikan (Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture) from Friday, July 19th to Sunday, September 1st, 2024. (Organized by Minami Nippon Broadcasting)

The "Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition" is an experiential digital art museum that uses over 300 works by world-famous ukiyo-e artists, such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, Kitagawa Utamaro, Toshusai Sharaku, and Utagawa Kunisada, to create graphical digital art pieces that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, using 3DCG animation and projection mapping, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the world of ukiyo-e in a three-dimensional video space.

So far, the event has been held in Nagoya and Milan, Italy, and has been attended by many people.

Photography and videography are permitted throughout the venue, allowing you to immerse yourself in the fantastical world of ukiyo-e.

Please enjoy this limited-time immersive exhibition, where masterpieces of ukiyo-e, which have continued to fascinate the world through the ages, come to life in dynamic detail.
