This amusement park is located on a mountain, which is rare in Japan, and offers beautiful views from the top of the mountain and rides that even small children can enjoy. This amusement park with a long history, having opened in 1929, has retro rides that are still in operation to delight children, and is popular with families and couples. Opening hours are usually from 10:00 to 17:00, but closing hours are extended during the summer holidays and the park is closed from December to mid-March.

To get to the amusement park, walk about three minutes from Kintetsu Ikoma Station and take the cable car from Torii Station. Change to the cable car at the next station, Takayama Station, and it will take about 16 minutes to get to the final stop, Ikoma Sanjo Amusement Park Station. The cable car is shaped like a dog character. Bull and Mike will greet you at Torii Station, and Doremi and Sweet will greet you at Takayama Station. A. You can bring in your own packed lunch and drinks. There is a rest area with chairs and tables, as well as a grassy area where you can eat and drink.

A. There are coin lockers in the park. Also, if you are coming from Ikoma Station, there are coin lockers on the left hand side after you exit the Chuo ticket gate or inside the station. We recommend that you leave your large luggage in a coin locker at Ikoma Station before transferring to the cable car!

A. There is a restaurant called "Ikomayama View Restaurant" in the Ikoma Mountain Amusement Park.
