The street that runs north and south across Chuo-dori near Osaka Metro's Honmachi Station is the Senba Shinsaibashisuji Shopping Street, which has a long history dating back more than 300 years.

In one corner of the park is Kung Fu Ramen, which boasts Lanzhou ramen, which originated in Lanzhou, Gansu Province in northwestern China.

Here you can watch the craftsmen rhythmically make the noodles right in front of the store.

You can choose your favorite noodles from nine kinds of Lanzhou ramen. A skilled craftsman makes the noodles using authentic techniques and you can eat the noodles boiled in a pot on the spot. The secret beef medicinal soup made by simmering beef, beef bones and whole chicken for a long time has been handed down for 100 years.

"It makes me happy when customers who have tried Lanzhou ramen in China on business trips or travel say it's just like the original," says owner Li. Having studied at a university in Japan, he says he was particularly fond of Osaka, a city full of friendly people.

"We also serve halal food that can be eaten by Muslims," says the owner, who is proud of the menu that is enjoyed by people of all ages and from all over the world.

"We expect many tourists from overseas to come to the World Expo in 2025. I hope that people from all over the world will be able to try Lanzhou ramen," says Li.
