In 2025, numerous events showcasing gourmet food and flowers will be held in Tokyo during Golden Week in early May. This article features 16 exciting events that are perfect for families with children, couples, and anyone looking to enjoy this festive time together.
In 2025, the Golden Week (GW) holiday stretches from Saturday, April 26 to Monday, May 6. Those who take off the middle days of April 28, 30, and May 1, 2, can enjoy a maximum of 11 consecutive holidays.
Various events will be held throughout Tokyo and eastern Japan in conjunction with the Golden Week holidays. In this article, we present 16 featured events that you won't want to miss.

The ice cream lover's dream event Aipaku® is celebrating its 10th anniversary and will be held as Aipaku® Premium TOKYO 2025 at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangle Plaza.
This time, 25 carefully selected brands from across Japan will come together, featuring over 150 different types of ice cream! You can enjoy flavors that are not typically available in Tokyo.
The venue will also include the Ice Cream Mini Museum, supervised by Ice Man Fukudome (separate admission fee required). Additionally, the first 5,000 visitors each day will receive an original commemorative wristband, and there will be sales of insulated bags for souvenirs. Children under elementary school age are free, making it a great outing option for families with kids!

During the Golden Week, Tokyo Tower will host a projection mapping event to celebrate the arrival of spring, titled TOKYO TOWER CITY LIGHT FANTASIA - Spring Concerto 2025.
A magical space will unfold featuring the breathtaking night view of Tokyo from the 150-meter observation deck, combined with the stunning sight of fully bloomed cherry blossoms.
This year, a new feature called "Sakura Photo Time" will allow visitors to capture the night scenery bathed in cherry blossom colors, creating a special experience to adorn the spring night. It's perfect for couples looking for a Romantic Golden Week outing!

At Toneri Park, from April 11 to April 29, the event Flower and Light Movement Toneri Park: The Stars of Toneri Reflected in the Sea of Nemophila will take place, showcasing a beautiful blend of nemophila flowers and illuminations.
The nemophila flower fields will be illuminated with magical lights, allowing visitors to experience a different charm of the park compared to daytime. The lighting hours are from 18:00 to 20:00 on Mondays to Thursdays (except for April 28), and from 18:00 to 20:30 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, including April 28.
Food trucks will be set up at the venue, along with photo spots. Since this is a free admission event, families with children and couples are encouraged to visit!

Event Name: Flower and Light Movement Toneri Park: The Stars of Toneri Reflected in the Sea of Nemophila

The gourmet event Dancyu Festival 2025, hosted by the food magazine Dancyu, will be held at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangle Plaza.
About 40 popular restaurants from across the country will gather to offer special menus by renowned chefs, along with sake, craft beer, and desserts.
This event has an incredible free admission (with separate charges for food and drinks)! It's a must-visit gourmet event for food-loving couples during Golden Week.

At the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, a special exhibition titled Chi. - About the Movement of the Earth - The Earth Moves will be held, allowing visitors to experience the world of the popular anime Chi. - About the Movement of the Earth -.
The exhibition is filled with interactive displays that recreate the anime's world, a quiz rally related to the heliocentric theory, and a hands-on area for letterpress printing, offering lots of opportunities to see, touch, and learn!

The Meat Festival® 2025 TOKYO Steak King Contest will be held in the bay area of Odaiba, where visitors can enjoy delicious meat under the open sky!
Twenty-two renowned meat restaurants will participate in the Meat Festival, providing attendees with a variety of meat dishes. This year's theme is "Devour the Meat!!," allowing each restaurant to showcase their ultimate steaks. Attendees will vote on the dishes they find the most delicious, and in the end, a "Steak King" will be crowned!
This year, five areas will be set up: an open-air area, a family tent area, a picnic area, a VIP area, and a pet-friendly area, making it enjoyable for families and pet owners alike.

The Craft Gyoza Festival® TOKYO 2025 will be held at Komazawa Olympic Park in Tokyo.
At this Craft Gyoza Festival, around 20 unique gyoza shops will gather, offering a variety of over 30 different flavors, ranging from innovative gyoza to traditional ones.
In 2025, many new gyoza menu items are expected to debut. Along with the popular "Hakata Hitokuchi Gyoza," there will be options like "Mentai Cheese Gyoza," "Lamb and Cumin Spice Gyoza," and even surprising dessert gyoza such as "Strawberry Milk Cheese Gyoza."

The Oktoberfest, a traditional beer festival held in Germany around October, has been established in Japan for over a decade. This year, the Oktoberfest will surprise everyone by being held in spring instead of autumn!
In the bay area of Odaiba, both adults and children can enjoy German food culture while basking in the sea breeze.

At Showa Kinen Park, located across Tachikawa and Akishima City, the Flower Festival 2025 will be held, featuring 200,000 nemophila flowers.
Visitors can enjoy the arrival of spring in a flower field blooming with not only 200,000 nemophila flowers but also cherry blossoms and 260 varieties of tulips. Additionally, there will be a "Bubble Photo Opportunity Time," where bubbles will be released into the flower field on April 26 (Saturday) at the Bouquet Garden and on May 1 (Thursday) at the Nemophila area!

At Yomiuri Land, an amusement park in Inagi City, Tokyo, alongside the adjacent flower park "HANA ・BIYORI," the "Okinawa & Kyushu & Hokkaido WEEK!! 2025" will be held, continuing from last year's Golden Week celebration.

Yoyogi Park hosts various events throughout the year, and during the Golden Week, the "Cambodia Festival 2025" will take place.
This festival is organized under the leadership of the Cambodian Ambassador to Japan, aiming to promote the charm of Cambodia in Japan through a national initiative.

The SEASIDE CINEMA 2025 is one of Japan's largest free outdoor movie festivals, held in the popular Yokohama Minato Mirai area.
Outdoor theaters will be set up at five venues, including Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and Yokohama Hammerhead, allowing attendees to enjoy movies in the pleasant spring weather.
