What is the Sightseeing Limited Express"AONIYOSHI"?

"AONIYOSHI" is The Sightseeing Limited Express operated by Kintetsu Railway that connects Osaka Namba with Nara and Kyoto without transfers. Based on the concept of "relaxing historical journey", the train is attractive for its comfortable facilities not found on other trains, such as spacious and comfortable seats, special desserts that can only be purchased on board, and a library with guidebooks from the area along the line.

Seating Details on AONIYOSHI

The Aoniyoshi has two types of seats, "twin seats" and "salon seats," in a spacious space with a maximum of 84 seats. There are many ideas to make your travel time comfortable. We will introduce each type of seat.

AONIYOSHI Twin Seat

Cars 1, 3, and 4 are twin seats. The seats are arranged in two rows so that passengers can relax comfortably. The seats that envelop the seating area are a specially ordered original design.

AONIYOSHI Salon Seat 

Car No. 2 is a salon seat. This is a seat reserved for groups of 3 to 4 people. The seats and aisle are separated by partitions, making it a private space. It has a luxurious atmosphere.

A Mini Library 

Car No. 4 has a library where you can freely browse books related to the area along the line. There are also sofa seats for reading books, so you can spend some time relaxing and forgetting that you are on a train.

How to Book Tickets and Reservation Details 

To ride the Kintetsu The Sightseeing Limited Express"AONIYOSHI", you will need a "limited express ticket" in addition to a "board ticket" (paper tickets and IC cards such as ICOCA are acceptable). All seats are reserved, so you will specify your seat when purchasing the limited express ticket in advance. If you are using the "Kintetsu Rail Pass", which is available at a discount to foreign visitors to Japan, you will only need to purchase the "limited express ticket" to board the train.

Express tickets for the "AONIYOSHI" can be purchased at major Kintetsu stations, and can also be reserved and purchased through the Kintetsu Express Ticket Web Reservation Service.
