Hitoyoshi Kuma Cultural Heritage Tour (Walking Course) Yunomae Town

Yunosaki Station Bookstore

Just a minute's walk from the starting point, the building next door is the Kumakawa Railway Yumae Station Bookstore, a nationally registered tangible cultural property. A train ride with a scenic view is also fun, so if you're going to a spot that can't be reached by walking, be sure to board from here.

Odaishi Hall

After a pleasant 10-minute walk along the rice paddy path, you will arrive at Odaishido Hall. It is a prefectural designated cultural property, and you can feel its history from the thatched roof building.

Shimomachi Bridge

This is a beautiful photo and rest spot with a river and stone bridge. Kuma Shochu brewery (Hayashi Shuzojo) is also nearby.

Satomiya Shrine

This is a shrine with plenty to see. It is said to bring various benefits, such as finding a partner or making wishes come true, so please take your time to explore the shrine.

Fumonji Temple Kannon Hall

This is the Fumonji Kannon Hall, a cultural property designated by the town. Wi-Fi is available here.

Eiryu-ji Temple

This is a temple dedicated to the Lotus Sutra. Temple yoga is held every night by reservation, and experiences such as copying sutras and sermons are also offered, as well as organic lunches made with carefully selected ingredients. The view from the temple is also wonderful.

Kamisato Kannon-do

This is a cultural asset of a Kannon hall that is located in the middle of town and is easy to visit. It is not usually open, but you can worship the Kannon during the equinox when it is open to the public.

Myodoji Temple Main Hall

This is an arched, church-like building, but it is a temple designated as a national tangible cultural property.

Yumae Manga Museum

There are many interesting exhibits at this museum, and there is also a caricature exhibition on the grounds, so be sure to take a stroll around.

Railwing Yuno Cafe

After enjoying your walk, why not take a break at Yuno Cafe? You can enjoy a delicious lunch and coffee here.

At Yuno Cafe, you can enjoy parfaits made with Kurobo, a specialty of a local confectionery shop. The combination of the moist sweetness of Kurobo, the chewy shiratama, and the carefully selected matcha is the best.
