Tokyo's Marunouchi Illumination 2025 is taking place again this year near Tokyo Station, covering approximately 1.2 km from Yurakucho to Otemachi.

Around 286 street trees will shine in champagne gold, creating a fantastical atmosphere as if you are walking under a starry sky, making it a very popular Christmas event.

Centered around the Marunouchi Building, MARUNOUCHI BRIGHT HOLIDAY 2025 Disney JOYFUL MOMENTS will take over the Marunouchi area with a heartwarming Disney-themed celebration.

At the main venues, including Marunouchi Building, Shin‑Marunouchi Building, Marunouchi Oazo, and Marunouchi Brick Square, visitors will find large-scale decorations inspired by Mickey and Friends and beloved Disney animated films such as Frozen, Toy Story, Tangled, Winnie the Pooh, and the theatrical release Zootopia 2. Stroll through the district to enjoy themed installations and seasonal illuminations that capture special moments from Disney stories.

The event runs from November 13, 2025 to January 4, 2026 (closed on January 1). In addition to immersive displays, expect photo spots, themed pop-ups, original merchandise, and special food and drink offerings—perfect for sharing joyful, magical moments throughout the winter season.

The illumination will focus on Marunouchi Nakadori, as well as the area in front of Tokyo Station (near Tokyo Building and Marunouchi Hotel), Gyokodori, and around the Shin Kokusai Building near Yurakucho Station (as shown in the photo).

The lighting times for Marunouchi Illumination 2025 are from 16:00 to 23:00. (*From December 1 to 31, the hours are scheduled from 16:00 to 00:00)

In addition, the lighting times for the concurrently held Gyokodori Illumination 2025 are from 16:00 to 00:00.

How to Access Marunouchi Illumination 2025: Nearest Stations

As mentioned above, the Illumination 2025 will take place over a wide area including Marunouchi Nakadori, the area in front of Tokyo Station, and Yukyodori, so there are multiple access methods.

Below, we introduce access to the main street of Marunouchi Illumination 2025, which is Marunouchi Nakadori, spanning approximately 1.2 km.

Access by Train

Marunouchi Nakadori is conveniently located near the following stations, all within about a 5-minute walk to Marunouchi Nakadori. However, be cautious as Tokyo Station is very large, and it can be easy to get confused with the exits.

- JR Lines: Tokyo Station Marunouchi South Exit
- Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line: Tokyo Station Marunouchi Underground South Exit
- Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line: Nijubashi-mae (Marunouchi) Station, Exit 4

Access is also possible from the following stations:

- JR Yamanote Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line, Negishi Line: About a 4-minute walk from Yurakucho Station Central West Exit / Hibiya Exit

Around Tokyo Station, there are bus stops at Marunouchi South Exit, which operates buses to Tokyo Big Sight and Harumi Pier, Marunouchi North Exit, which operates buses to Kinshicho Station and Yotsuya Station, and Yaesu Exit, which operates buses to Tokyo Big Sight and Minami-Senju Station.

KITTE Marunouchi is a commercial facility located near the Marunouchi Exit of Tokyo Station. It consists of parts that preserve and regenerate the former Tokyo Central Post Office building and newly constructed sections, housing around 100 shops and restaurants.

The building features a stunning atrium design, and during the Christmas season, an event called WHITE KITTE (*) is held, showcasing a large, all-white Christmas tree in the first-floor atrium.

The approximately 13-meter-tall fir tree, adorned with lights and accompanied by a light and music show, is a spectacular sight worth seeing.

From the rooftop garden on the 6th floor, KITTE Garden, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Marunouchi station building and the Shinkansen at JR Tokyo Station. This spot offers not only shopping and dining but also seasonal events and exhibitions to enjoy.
