Where is Gozaisho in Mie Prefecture?

Gozaisho is about 60 minutes from Nagoya and 150 minutes from Osaka by train and bus. The nearest station is Kintetsu Yunoyama Onsen Station. You can also take a local bus to the Gozaisho Ropeway station. Around Yunoyama Onsen Station, you'll also find the popular Aqua Ignis , which has stylish cafes, restaurants, and hot springs.

The frost-covered trees on Mt. Gozaisho (1,212m above sea level) can be seen from late December to early March at elevations above 1,000m. However, these natural formations can only be seen when the right weather conditions are met: water vapor in the air, temperatures below 0°C, and a strong wind. The weather conditions for frost-covered trees are more likely to be right from January to February, meaning there are more opportunities to see them all around the mountain park.

The Gozaisho Ropeway connects Mt. Gozaisho in the Suzuka Mountains of Mie Prefecture Prefecture with the Yunoyama Onsen hot spring town at its base.
