The newly inaugurated Shibuya Sakura Stage hosts the highly anticipated SAKURA Xmas 2024 from December 3, with some of the events lasting until early February 2025.

Event Highlights

SAKURA Xmas Tree 2024

The highlight of the festivities will be a spectacular Christmas tree on the vibrant STAGE, inspired by the colors of Shibuya's latest landmark, ShibuS.

This tree will be surrounded by an enchanting ambiance filled with classic Christmas tunes, including a special performance of "Christmas Eve," a beloved song by Tatsuro Yamashita, covered by the popular male dance vocal group Bullet Train - Choutokkyuu.

Throughout the event, the vibrant STAGE will also feature light displays designed to evoke the beauty of cherry blossoms, predominantly showcasing soft pink hues until January 30, 2025. The illumination will extend to the second-floor Sakurazaka Plaza and other key areas, ensuring a festive atmosphere throughout the venue.

The lighting will be operational from December 3, 2024, to February 2, 2025, with lights turning on daily at 4:30 PM and remaining lit until midnight.

In addition to the numerous indoor events, the iconic Sakurazaka area will be illuminated with winter cherry blossom lights, further enhancing the festive spirit in Shibuya.

Christmas GIFT BOX presented by MR. MEN LITTLE MISS

Visitors can also look forward to a giant gacha machine in Sakurazaka Plaza, designed to resemble a Christmas gift box.

Guests can take part in a digital stamp rally for a chance to spin this interactive attraction, with prizes including eco-bags featuring the famous "MR. MEN LITTLE MISS" characters and exclusive coupons for local shops.

Christmas Street Live

From December 13 to December 24, street live performances will enhance the festive atmosphere. A lineup of indie artists and children from CTIS Kindergarten will showcase a variety of musical genres, making this event welcoming for visitors of all ages.

Love Piano® Tracks

A unique feature this year is a street piano in collaboration with Yamaha, where guests can either play the piano themselves or listen to automatically played music. This attraction will be available from December 11 to December 25 on the 2nd floor of Sakuragaoka Square.

404 Not Found 404 WINTER 2024

Further enriching the holiday experience, the 404 Not Found creative hub on the fourth floor will host a winter event featuring communal kotatsu spaces for socializing, as well as board games and workshops. This setup creates a cozy environment reminiscent of home gatherings.

404 Not Found New Year's Live Art Project 404 LIVE ST-ART 2025

As the New Year approaches, 404 Not Found will welcome visitors with an exciting live art event on January 2 and 3, 2025. This immersive experience allows attendees to witness the creative process firsthand as artists, including Takeshi Ishikawa, the Studio Manager of Skeleton Crew Studio, bring their works to life throughout the day.

In addition to the dynamic art displays, guests can enjoy complimentary sake during designated hours, adding a festive touch to the celebration. This offering is perfect for toasting new beginnings while immersing oneself in the vibrant artistic atmosphere.
