Neighborhood relationships where there is a good distance between people without interference, and where people look out for each other.

What is true "richness"?

We live in an uncertain world where there is no single correct answer or absolute guideline. How can we imagine an exciting future in such a world? Here, diverse plants and animals, microorganisms, forests, soil, rivers and seas, all interact and live in harmony. As you live here, you realize that you exist within the gradations of nature's colors. You realize that people are part of nature. And so, each person's sense of wonder begins to blossom.

What kind of world will you create and express? Three years to play, learn, and develop the ability to live. You are the one who decides your own value. How will you live here, in this world?

Through interactions with people of diverse generations and personalities, including those who live in this area and those who visit, you will naturally learn how to live while helping others.

Aiming for a society where the Earth and people can live healthily, we will learn through experience about forests, rivers, oceans, hunting, natural farming, and their connections to our daily lives. This is the core of learning at Ametuchi Gakusha.

Ametuchi School is a support facility for learning for the Meisei High School correspondence course. By working on assignments necessary to earn credits at Ametuchi School, students can aim to graduate from high school.

The Ametuchi study, which is the core of the Mori no Kuni Valley Ametuchi School, places emphasis on learning about [Forests], [Agriculture], and [Food].

You will learn about the connections between forests, rivers, and the sea through hands-on experience, placing emphasis on emotion and reality. You will immerse yourself in nature and learn about the profound mechanisms that produce the blessings of nature and the people who use them through experiences in hunting and gathering, agriculture, forestry, and fishing.

[Agriculture]

We practice natural farming, which allows us to live in harmony with nature and become self-sufficient. From creating soil where diverse microorganisms can live, to sowing seeds and harvesting, by observing crops and grass, we will acquire the ability to live and utilize in this world.

[Food]

Healthy bodies and a healthy planet start with food. Be responsible for what you eat. If you can carefully choose your food, just as you would choose your partner, you will surely develop a better diet.

Ametuchi School Representative Maiko Maekawa

As a student, he majored in outdoor education, and after a formative experience at that time, he aspires to provide opportunities for Japanese children to love themselves through outdoor education for the future. In 2021, he joined Sun Claire Co., Ltd., and in the same year, he started the outdoor education project "NAME CAMP" for Taisho elementary and junior high school students, and will serve as the representative of Ametuchi Gakusha for high school students from 2025.

Yasuto Saeki (Agriculture Sector Advisor)

Representative of Shizentai. A pioneer of natural farming that does not use any pesticides, fertilizers, or herbicides. Currently, he provides farming guidance to 2,000 people in 100 locations nationwide. He also promotes agricultural-welfare collaboration that combines nature and welfare.

Masakazu Iwasawa (Food Section Advisor)

Owner and chef of PIZZERIA GTARIA DA FILIPPO. Winner of the 2023 FOOD MADE GOOD Grand Prize for Restaurants. Addresses local food issues such as food waste and food development, and works widely across the country.

The Meisei High School Wide-area Correspondence Course is a new course established at the Masuda Nagashima Gakuen Meisei High School. The classrooms at the school life support center of the Wide-area Correspondence Course are called "SHIPs," and students in our correspondence course belong to one of the SHIPs across the country. Ehime Mori no Kuni SHIP is a boarding school that will open in 2025 as "Morinokuni Valley Ametuchi School."
