1. Mount Myoken Park (Fuyacho, Naruto City)

Myokenzan Park is a park located on a 60-meter-high mountain in the western part of Naruto City. It is known as a famous cherry blossom spot, and when in full bloom the entire mountain is dyed pink. Approximately 500 trees, including Somei-Yoshino, Hachisuka-zakura, and Yama-zakura, are planted in the park. The park is also lit up at night, so you can enjoy viewing the cherry blossoms at night. The mountain road is narrow, so if you are driving a large vehicle, please be careful of oncoming vehicles. The castle-like building in the park, called "Tree de Naruto," is a popular photo spot with beautiful cherry blossoms and a castle.

Myokenzan Park

This park is built on the ruins of Fuya Castle, one of the nine former Awa castles. It is also famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot, and is crowded with many visitors during the spring flower viewing season. The panoramic view of Naruto city is also a must-see! Additionally, the replica castle tower that was formerly the Prefectural Torii Memorial Museum was reopened in March 2016 as Toride Naruto, a disaster prevention center and community facility for the city.

2. Hanamiyama (Naruto City , Naruto City)

Hanamiyama is a mountain in Naruto City cho, Naruto City, with approximately 400 weeping cherry trees blooming in abundance on a vast site of approximately 20,000 square meters. From the top, you can see the Naruto Bridge and Awaji Island, and enjoy the cherry blossoms and the magnificent view. There are also carts operating on the site, and you can climb to the top of the mountain.

3. Naruto Otsuka Sports Park (Fuyacho, Naruto City)

Naruto Otsuka Sports Park is a park that contains the Pocari Sweat Stadium and Amino Value Hall. Within the park, there is a grassy plaza and a small pond called Hyotan Pond. Many cherry trees are planted on the promenade surrounding it. You can enjoy walking surrounded by cherry blossoms. The parking lot tends to fill up when there are sports matches or events, so we recommend checking the schedule in advance before going.

4. Naruto City German House (Taasamachi, Naruto City)

In Bando, Taima-cho, Naruto City, there was the Bando POW Camp, where German prisoners of war were held during World War I. The Bando POW Camp was praised as a model camp unlike any other in the world due to its humane management policy. At the Naruto City German House, stories of the interactions between German soldiers and local residents at the time are told and many valuable materials from that time are on display.

In the "Ninth Theater," life-sized figures of German soldiers perform music. Bando POW Camp is also known as the site of the Asian premiere of Beethoven's "Symphony No. 9."

You can see cherry blossoms around the Beethoven statue near the Naruto City German House.

There is also a roadside station called "Daikyu no Sato" on the premises, where you can have a picnic and enjoy gelato and light meals made with local products.

The Fuya River and the Shinike River are rivers that run through Naruto City. There are promenades along the rivers, lined with cherry blossom trees. You can go for a walk while admiring the cherry blossoms and the river. Please note that there are no parking lots nearby for either river.
