Izu Kogen Gran Illumination is an experiential illumination event held for a limited time from mid-November to the end of August (only on weekends and holidays from April to mid-July) at Izu Granpal Park, located along the national highway in Futo, Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Izu Kogen Gran Illumination is Japan's first experiential illumination, held every year from mid-November to the end of August the following year. There are three shows held every 10 minutes, such as the [Light and Sound Show] where the illuminations dance to music, the [Full Color Laser Show] where you can see the Aurora dancing in a fantastic world, and the [Grand Vision Show] where a 60m wide LED screen is combined with sound! You can enjoy the collaboration of music and light. There are also plenty of attractions! The [Dino Age Kart] where you can race through an area where illuminated dinosaurs live in a go-kart, the [Zipline ~Shooting Star RYUSEI~] where you can glide over the illuminations on a 400m round trip "sparkling rail", and the [Night Rainbow], a 110m long illumination slider that shines in seven colors, a specialty of Gran Illumination! How to get to Izukogen Grand Illumination

For those coming by train

From JR Tokyo Station, take the Tokaido Shinkansen (approx. 45 minutes) or the Tokaido Main Line (approx. 1 hour 50 minutes) to Atami Station.

From Atami Station, take the Ito Line (approximately 20 minutes) to Ito Station

From Ito Station, take the Izu Kyuko Line (approximately 20 minutes) to Izukogen Station

Approximately 20 minutes by Tokai Bus from Izukogen Station, or approximately 10 minutes by taxi

Climate of Izu Kogen Grand Illumination

Izukogen Grand Illumination is an event that is held from mid-November to the end of August of the following year (only on weekends and holidays from April to mid-July).

In winter, the minimum temperature rarely drops below freezing, but due to the strong sea breeze, the temperature may feel lower than the actual temperature.

Although temperatures are relatively comfortable in the summer, there are also days with high humidity, so be sure to drink plenty of water to prevent heatstroke.
