Universal Studios Japan has announced the kickoff of its highly anticipated Halloween Horror Night 2025, promising visitors a spine-chilling season filled with terrifying zombies, innovative mazes, and spectacular shows. Starting from September 4, the park is set to deliver an unprecedented level of fear and excitement through a lineup of immersive haunted experiences that will push the boundaries of thrill.
Highlights of Halloween at USJ
A Night of Terror and Excitement Starts with Live Zombie Battles

The evening explodes into chaos at around 19:30 as the Hollywood Boulevard transformed into a battleground for Street Zombie, where hordes of super ferocious zombies emerge, attacking guests and creating a scene of mayhem. These highly detailed zombies, equipped with authentic costumes and special effects, engage in intense battles with security forces, delivering a pulse-pounding spectacle that left visitors screaming in fear and awe.

Amid the chaos, a new collaboration with the acclaimed Japanese band King Gnu is creating a buzz as their energetic new track SO BAD plays, serving as the background music for a powerful dance performance titled Zombie De Dance. The revamped routine features innovative choreography and music, with zombies and guests dancing together in wild enthusiasm, transforming terror into an exhilarating celebration.
New Attractions: Horror Mazes and Surprising Encounters

Among the highlights is the premiere of the immersive maze Factory of Fears: Despair Zombie Tour, a terrifying journey through a haunted zombie manufacturing facility. Guests will navigate the dark and gruesome factory, confronting brutal zombies such as Prison Zombies and Cyber Zombies, all while trying to escape the inescapable environment. The maze promises a visceral experience, with gruesome sights and shrieks echoing as visitors work together to survive.

Adding to the horror, the park introduced the first-ever appearance of Megan’ the infamous AI doll from the hit horror film series, who appears unexpectedly in the streets, performing chaotic dance antics and terrorizing guests during Megan’s Attack.
Hamkuma Candy and Halloween Events

This year also marks the debut of Hamkuma Candy, a new and colorful character that has quickly become a fan favorite. Hamkuma will be featured in a vibrant Sweet Scream Party, a lively event where around 1,000 guests participated in exuberant call-and-response and dance sessions. The character will also appear in themed foods, merchandise, and LINE stickers, adding a playful yet creepy touch to the festivities.
A Global Spectacle with New Showstoppers and Shows
In addition to the Halloween thrills, Universal Studios Japan is expanding its entertainment lineup by launching new shows and collaborations. One of the standout moments was the debut of the Megan’s Attack dance and chaos performance, building anticipation for the film’s release. The park also showcased other popular attractions, including Biohazard Night of Heroes where guests battle against iconic Resident Evil monsters, and the captivating Chucky’s Carnival of Chaos maze.
