Mars VR Experience at Odaiba Fuji TV: THE SUNSET OF MARS
Experience space travel at Tokyo's Fuji TV! Explore Mars in VR, ride a rover, and witness a blue sunset at THE SUNSET OF MARS in Odaiba until June 28, 2026.
Until June 28! THE SUNSET OF MARS at Odaiba Fuji TV

Odaiba’s iconic Fuji TV building has transformed into the Red Planet from April 25 to June 28, 2026.
The next-generation VR event, titled THE SUNSET OF MARS, pairs sweeping real-world views of Tokyo Bay with a cutting-edge virtual journey to a land yet untouched by humankind.
Created by XR tech pioneers ABAL Inc. in a strategic partnership with Dentsu and Fuji Television, this attraction uses high-tech space expansion software to let you explore a massive virtual world on your own two feet.
Blast Off in a Rocket and Race Across the Red Planet

Once you equip your VR headset, you will instantly leave Earth behind. The adventure begins with a cinematic rocket launch into outer space before landing you directly onto the Martian surface.

From there, the experience drops you onto the driver's seat of a Martian rover, letting you speed across the rugged, red terrain.
You will also tour a high-tech Martian base facility to learn about the science behind the planet, and if you are lucky, you might even encounter some legendary Martian lifeforms!
Capture Galactic Selfies and Witness a Blue Sunset

The ultimate climax of the experience is standing on Mars to witness a breathtaking blue sunset dipping below the horizon.
Unlike older VR attractions, this system allows you to take photos and selfies directly within the virtual environment.
After your space journey is complete, you can download the images directly to your smartphone to share your out-of-this-world family vacation on social media.
The Tech Behind the Magic: Scape® Platform

How does a single room inside Fuji TV fit an entire planet? The secret lies in ABAL's patented Scape® platform.
The software utilizes special spatial mapping that tricks your brain into thinking you are walking across a vast, endless landscape, even though you are safely inside a bounded indoor space.
By expanding physical space by 10 to 20 times, up to 100 people can explore the virtual Martian colony simultaneously without bumping into each other.
