Expo '70 Commemorative Park in Osaka is set to host one of the most spectacular autumn events in the Kansai region on Saturday, November 21, 2026.
Marking its landmark 5th anniversary, the 5th Expo Night Sky Becomes Art 2026 returns under the theme of "To New Entertainment That Surpasses the Past."
This year's show moves its viewing area to the expansive East Meadow to deliver a wider, fully immersive panoramic display of music, state-of-the-art drones, and fireworks.
Over 15,000 Fireworks Synchronized to Music
This year's event has moved its spectator seating to the park's spacious East Meadow to bring visitors closer to the action than ever before.
Approximately 15,000 fireworks will be launched dynamically right in front of the seating area, completely filling your field of vision with a massive, panoramic wall of light.
Crafted by top pyrotechnicians in Western Japan, the fireworks are precisely synchronized to a stunning musical playlist, building to an emotional, five-sense-stirring climax in the clear late-autumn night sky.
Cutting-Edge 3D Drone Art Show
Following last year’s highly acclaimed performance, the drone art show is back and bigger than before.
A fleet of high-tech drones will take to the night sky, using advanced three-dimensional coordination to draw massive, glowing light sculptures on the darkness.
The integration of these mesmerizing, floating graphics with the bursting fireworks creates a mystical, open-air gallery experience exclusive to this event.
Daytime Fun at Hokusetsu Cultural Festival x Ramen EXPO
Starting early in the day, visitors can head over to the park's Festival Plaza starting at 11:00.
This year, the Hokusetsu Cultural Festival (representing seven cities and three towns in Northern Osaka) is collaborating with the widely popular Ramen EXPO.
Spectators can spend their afternoon exploring cultural booths, enjoying lively stage performances, and tasting hot, delicious bowls of regional ramen from all over Japan before the evening light show begins.
