Kansai’s First SEGA Flagship Store Is Coming to Osaka!

SEGA STORE OSAKA will hold its grand opening on the sixth floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO on October 2, 2026.

It will be SEGA’s first permanent flagship store in the Kansai region, following the opening of Japan’s first location, SEGA STORE TOKYO, in Shibuya in July 2025.

The Osaka store will bring together merchandise inspired by popular IP developed throughout SEGA’s history of more than 65 years. Visitors can expect a wide selection of character goods, including products available exclusively in Osaka.

Popular SEGA Merchandise and Osaka-Exclusive Products

SEGA STORE locations reflect the company’s strategy of expanding its intellectual properties beyond video games into films, music, manga, and other forms of entertainment.

The concept began its global expansion with SEGA STORE SHANGHAI, which opened in China in May 2025.

SEGA STORE OSAKA will offer merchandise featuring the company’s popular properties alongside exclusive items connected to its Osaka location. Further details about the product lineup will be announced separately.

An Immersive Store Combining Technology and Culture

SEGA STORE OSAKA will feature an interior designed to express the distinctive worlds of SEGA’s characters and games.

Adaptable lighting installations and a large transparent, double-sided LED display will be used to create an immersive official-store experience combining technology with pop culture.

The store will be located in POP CULTURE SHINSAIBASHI on the sixth floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO.

This floor serves as a hub for experiential Japanese pop culture, showcasing internationally recognized entertainment content to visitors from Japan and overseas.

Osaka Food Culture with Takoru-kun

On September 18, Sonic will explore the food stalls at YATAI Festival in Osaka Castle Park with TV Osaka character Takoru-kun.

The event will take place at Taiyo-no-Hiroba Plaza from 17:00 and will offer Sonic a taste of Osaka’s famous food culture. Admission to the festival is free.

Sonic Takes the Stage at Yoshimoto Comedy Night

On September 25, Sonic will appear in YOSHIMOTO COMEDY NIGHT – Sitcom at Yoshimoto Dotonbori Theater.

This new style of Yoshimoto Shinkigeki is performed entirely in English. Sonic will experience authentic Osaka comedy onstage, including tsukkomi-style humorous retorts.

Doors open at 18:40, and the performance begins at 19:00. A paid ticket is required for admission.
