Dark Arts Halloween Comes to Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo

Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo's Dark Arts Halloween

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter will hold its first-ever Halloween special event, Dark Arts Halloween, from September 10 to November 8, 2026.

Inspired by the Dark Arts featured throughout the Harry Potter films, the event will transform areas of the Studio Tour into an ominous Wizarding World under the influence of Lord Voldemort and his followers, the Death Eaters.

Visitors will encounter the Dark Mark throughout the venue, Death Eaters lurking around the Studio Tour, and Dementors appearing in the Forbidden Forest.

The Ministry of Magic will also be taken over by Death Eaters, while the Great Hall and Hogwarts Castle model receive special Halloween transformations.

Don't miss out on the following highlights!

Floating Pumpkins Transform the Great Hall for Halloween

One of the most iconic sets at Studio Tour Tokyo, the Great Hall, will be transformed for Halloween.

Inspired by the Halloween feast in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the hall will feature floating jack-o'-lanterns and tables filled with sweets, recreating the magical atmosphere of Halloween at Hogwarts.

The Hogwarts Castle model will also receive a limited-time makeover using projection mapping.

During the event, Dementors will appear to drift around the castle, bringing a darker side of the Wizarding World to life.

Explore Hogwarts After Dark on the First Night Tour

For the first time, Studio Tour Tokyo will also offer a special Night Tour during the Halloween event.

Small groups will explore dimly lit Hogwarts sets and the Forbidden Forest after dark, relying on the light of lanterns as they search for Death Eaters hidden throughout the tour.

Visitors who manage to find all of the Death Eaters will receive a special gift.

The experience offers a different way to explore the familiar Harry Potter sets, with darkness and limited lighting creating an eerie nighttime atmosphere.

See Death Eaters in a Live Performance

The Ministry of Magic set will host Studio Tour Tokyo's first live performance, the Death Eater Demonstration.

The performance is directed and choreographed by Paul Harris, the choreographer who created wand-based combat movements for the Harry Potter film series.

Drawing inspiration from the films' battle scenes, the performance combines 10 different wand positions with dance-like movements to recreate the intimidating presence of the Death Eaters.

Halloween Burger and Dementor-Inspired Pancakes

Special Halloween food and sweets will also be available throughout the event.

At the Food Hall, visitors can try the Halloween Burger (2,500 yen), made with pastrami beef and a striking purple bun decorated with a jack-o'-lantern motif.

Another seasonal dish is the Forbidden Forest Pancakes (1,500 yen), inspired by the Dementors from the Harry Potter series.

At the Frog Café, visitors can order the Dark Mark Milkshake (950 yen).

Other Halloween sweets include a chestnut-flavored Halloween Mini Sundae (700 yen) and Hagrid's Pumpkin Patch Éclair (700 yen), inspired by the pumpkin patch beside Hagrid's hut.

Choose Between Halloween Afternoon Tea and Evening High Tea

The Backlot Café will offer two different Halloween-themed tea experiences during the event: the Dark Arts Halloween Afternoon Tea and the more substantial Dark Arts Halloween Evening High Tea.

The Dark Arts Halloween Afternoon Tea (7,500 yen) is a dessert-focused experience inspired by the Halloween feast in the Great Hall from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

The tea stand features Harry Potter-themed sweets and savory bites, including a Jack-o'-Lantern Mini Cake, Deathly Hallows Cookie Sandwich, Pumpkin Mont Blanc Trifle, and colorful Treat Cones.

Guests who reserve online in advance can also choose a complimentary welcome drink: Dementor's Kiss, a smoky strawberry cocktail inspired by the soul-sucking creatures, or Merpeople's Hideaway, a Black Lake-themed mocktail.

For visitors looking for a more substantial meal, the Dark Arts Halloween Evening High Tea Package (from 16,500 yen for adults) combines Studio Tour admission with an extended dining experience.

Alongside Halloween-themed sweets and savory dishes, the Evening High Tea includes roast beef with gravy as its main course and a free-flow selection of tea, soft drinks, beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages.

While the Afternoon Tea focuses primarily on sweets and tea, the Evening High Tea is designed as a fuller meal and offers a more leisurely dining experience.
