The basic info for the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims is as follows. It is not possible to enter the Atomic Bomb Dome.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is open year-round, and free of charge.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is closed on December 30th and 31st. Admission is 200 yen for adults (university students and up), 100 yen for high school students, and free for JHS students and younger.

Operating hours:

March-July: 8:30-18:00
August: 8:30-19:00 (The 5th and 6th until 20:00)
September-November: 8:30-18:00
December-February: 8:30-17:00

Last entry is 30 minutes before closing.

National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims

The National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims is closed on December 30th and 31st, and admission is free. It has the same hours as the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.

The route from Tokyo to the Peace Memorial Park is as follows.

Getting from Tokyo to Hiroshima by shinkansen takes four hours, and costs 18,040 yen in unreserved seating. From Hiroshima Station, take the streetcar bound for Miyajimaguchi or Eba, then get off at the Genbaku Dome-mae stop. The ride takes about 15 minutes and costs 150 yen. From the streetcar stop, the museum is five minutes away on foot.
