The Leading Spot for Night Viewing in Japan – Yokohama’s Landmark Tower
Yokohama’s Landmark Tower in Minato-Mirai is a skyscraper boasting the height of 296 meters.
The Sky Garden is located 273 meters above ground on the observatory floor (69F). On a clear day, you won’t only just be able to see the city of Yokohama but also Tokyo Tower, Skytree and even Mt. Fuji.

Yokohama’s Landmark Tower’s Event - LANDMARK BRIGHT CHRISTMAS 2017
Yokohama’s Landmark Tower gets this lively and exciting only once a year, during the Christmas season.
In 2017, from November 7th to December 25th at the LANDMARK BRIGHT CHRISTMAS 2017 event, there are many festivities you can take part in in both Yokohama’s Landmark Tower and its adjoining shopping mall, Landmark Plaza.
The theme of the event is A Christmas Party with You and Peter Rabbit™️. There will be a celebration dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the author of the popular children’s character Peter Rabbit, England’s Beatrix Potter.
The Dazzling Eight Meter High Christmas Tree
The centerpiece of the event is this giant eight meter high Christmas Tree located on the bottom floor of the Landmark Plaza. The approximate 21,000 LED lights throw a dazzling radiance on the whole event.
On November 7th, 2017 the lighting of the Christmas Tree was held hosted by two members of the popular Japanese band CHEMISTRY. They exclaimed how surprisingly big the tree really was.
The tree is decorated with Peter Rabbit ornaments, made especially for the event. Go down to the site to see for yourself just which characters there are! Every 30 minutes of each day there is another light up ceremony set to music so you won’t miss a thing.

On both sides of the Christmas Tree are dolls made from felt. Peter and his friends seem to be getting ready for a Christmas party. They are all so adorable! We recommend taking pictures of these adorable little creatures to share with your friends online!
A Christmas Concert in Front of the Tree!
After the lighting of the Christmas Tree on November 7th, Landmark Plaza filled with energy as CHEMISTRY performed a mini concert.
Although CHEMISTRY performed only on the first day of the event, there will be other mini concerts in front of the tree held on November 23rd, 25th and 26th as well as December 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th and 25th at 15:00 and 17:00 called the Garden Sound Party.

In addition to everything else, there will be illuminations from the start of the event period through March 14th, 2018, at Yokohama’s Landmark Tower’s adjoining facilities Dockyard Garden and Grand Mall Park, which is enough for everyone to experience a feeling of Christmas.
In the center of the illuminations at Dockyard Garden is a Heart-Shaped Photo Spot.
