Gorgeous Gingko Trees At Meiji Jingu Gaien - Entrancing Autumn Views In Tokyo

After mid-November, Meiji Jingu Gaien starts to shine in gold. When you leave Gaien-mae station and keep walking to the northeast, you start to see dazzling yellow colour on the left-hand side.

They are "Ginkgoes". The leaves of ginkgoes, which shine with sunlight, bring many people to this place.

The best time to see is from late November to early December. There are 146 Gingko trees lining at equal intervals on the both sides of 300m of the avenue.

From 9am to 5pm on Sundays and public holidays, a part of the avenue of Gingko trees becomes a Pedestrian precinct. Therefore, there are more people than usual. You can see families and couples there.
