Aomori

Aomori is the northernmost prefecture found on Honshu, the main island of the Japanese archipelago, and is part of the Tohoku region of Japan.

Winters here see heavy snowfall, which makes this a popular ski and snowboarding destination. It's also a great place to see in the summer, thanks to the incredible Nebuta Festival held every August. There are amazing hot springs, plenty of hearty rich foods, and of course, one of their most famous products, apples, in abundance here too.
