What is Hirohata Shrine?
Since it was commissioned by Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine by Mr. Yu Hijikata, the lord of the Komono domain, it has become the guardian shrine of the Hijikata family.
During the Edo period, it was called Sho Hachimangu Shrine (Hachiman-san), but after Suwa Shrine was enshrined in 1894, it started to be called Hirohata Shrine.
