The only glamping facility in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter

"Yaora Yaora", which opened in September 2022, is a glamping facility that is limited to one group per day. A nearby cafe also serves as a reception desk, where you will receive your key and head through the auto-locking door to the top floor. There is no elevator, so we had to leave the stroller in the space on the first floor.

When we went up to the roof, a wonderful view awaited us. A place with greenery is the Ohara Museum of Art. Although the location is close to tourist attractions, the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter is also home to many ordinary residences, so once you walk down the street you will find a quiet and calm atmosphere.

One of the prides of ``yaora'' is that you can enjoy an authentic sauna. Saunas are said to have the effect of regulating the autonomic nervous system, and are popular among both men and women. The space is large enough to accommodate 2 to 4 people, and you can also have a row. If you do ro-ryu at a temperature of 80 to 90 degrees Celsius, the temperature will be close to 100 degrees Celsius. A sauna scent (aroma) is also available, and the scent is very soothing.

It is equipped with an open-air jacuzzi that is large enough for a family. When using the sauna, the staff told us that in the summer, we recommend adding ice to the water bath, and in the winter, we recommend using an outside air bath or a warm jacuzzi.

This is a wonderful room with a Moroccan-style interior design that gives you the warmth of wood. It can accommodate up to 6 people and has 2 queen size beds and 1 semi-double bed. There is also air conditioning, so the room is warm and comfortable even during the cold months.

How to spend time with children

You can take off your shoes indoors, so it's safe even for babies who are old enough to crawl and move around. This style is great for families with small children, as you won't be able to move around freely in a hotel. The large windows allow you to see the children indoors even when adults are having a barbecue on the terrace, making it ideal for family gatherings.

Fully equipped

A small refrigerator, microwave, and kettle are provided in the room. It's convenient because you can bring your own food and drinks.

A sink, washing machine, and freezer are also available. You can use it with confidence even when the weather is bad. Plates, glasses, chopsticks, forks, etc. are also provided, so you can take it out in town and relax at your inn. *Electronic kettle, microwave oven, and IH cooking heater are provided. Frying pans, pots, etc. are available for rent.

There is a shower room and jacuzzi near the sauna, but there is also a bathtub and washbasin indoors.

Advantages of urban glamping

It's in a great location in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, so you can enjoy walking around town and eating out before and after check-in. Enjoy sightseeing in the Bikan Historical Quarter to your heart's content, including the Hondori Shopping Street, which is lined with cafes, general stores, and souvenir shops, and Kurashiki Riverside, where buildings from the Edo period remain.

On the way from the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter to the station, there are Ebisu Dori Shopping Street and BIOS ARCADE, as well as many restaurants. You're sure to find a restaurant to your liking, such as an izakaya where you can eat pickled mamakari, Okayama's representative fish, or sushi and yakiniku made with seafood from the Seto Inland Sea.

In addition to lodging, there is also a ``Completely Private Sauna Day Use Plan'' that allows you to use only the sauna and jacuzzi, so it may be easy for locals to use it as well.

Walking through the streets of Kurashiki, complete with saunas and ro-ryu, had a different feel than usual and was ``the best.'' My husband, who loves saunas, was also very satisfied. This is the perfect place to stay for those who want to enjoy both glamping and sightseeing.
