The town's largest festival, the Kinnyamonya Festival, features people dancing with rice scoops to the Oki folk song "Kinnyamonya," which originated in Ama Town, Oki Islands.

The energy of the islanders, the food stalls offering Oki's amazingly fresh seafood and local cuisine, and the fireworks as a finale to mark the end of summer.

The fireworks are launched from within Hishiura Bay, and you can enjoy the underwater fireworks while feeling the sea breeze in the darkness and silence unique to a remote island, far away from the light pollution and noise of the city.
