See the magnificent skeleton of a blue whale

One of the museum's most impressive exhibits is the complete skeleton of a blue whale, the largest animal on earth. This life-size replica is made of reinforced plastic and has been on display since 2005. The original skeleton was caught in Norway in 1880, shipped to Japan in 2000 and is now on display at Kaikyokan Aquarium in Shimonoseki.

Instead of the annual passport, a new " Whale Friends Association " has been established.

From the second time onwards, elementary and junior high school students will pay 300 yen for each admission.

Kayaking Adventure

Capacity : 2 adults ※Up to 3 people including children can ride together.

Participation requirements : At least one person must be on board who can operate a kayak. Ages 3 and up

Duration : Approximately 10 minutes per session

Price : 1,000 yen/person

Beach

Enjoy a hands-on dolphin experience with a beach interaction session, where you can experience the size and movement of dolphins as you gently handle them in their natural beach environment.

Eligibility : Must be at least 120cm tall. ※The water depth will be approximately 50cm.

Time required : Approximately 5 minutes per session
