What is Galidebuchu?

After operating a restaurant in Sendai for about 10 years, Garidebuchu entered the ramen industry in 2020 based on its popular menu. The unique name of the restaurant conveys the desire to fill everyone's stomach, whether they're thin, fat, or somewhere in between. The restaurant has inherited this name and transformed into a ramen shop, with mapo noodles being its signature dish, with over 80% of orders.
Not only the spicy mapo noodles, but also the normal Chinese noodles are highly rated, offering a bowl that is irresistible to ramen lovers. In the evening, they also offer a " little drink " menu centered around gyoza . After enjoying your ramen, you can take a break and enjoy a light drink, which is a great attraction!
This is a restaurant worth visiting for those who like spicy food or want something filling.

In the evening, you can enjoy a few drinks while eating Chinese dishes such as mapo tofu , stir-fried pea sprouts, fried wood ear mushrooms and pork with eggs, gyoza, and stir-fried green onion and menma. The fried rice, which is only available in the evening, is also appealing!

It's also cute that in the store's logo, "Gari" is thin, "Debu" is thick, and "Chu" is medium-sized.

Garidebuchu's signature dish, mapo noodles, is a big hit!

Since opening, Garidebuchu has quickly become a popular restaurant, and the key to its popularity has been its mapo noodles . This mapo noodles is a light soy sauce ramen topped with plenty of piping hot mapo tofu . The chili peppers that cover the surface are an original blend of chili peppers from Japan, China, and Korea, and the restaurant is particular about not only the spiciness but also the aroma and flavor .

The rich mapo tofu made with homemade chili oil and doubanjiang is perfectly combined with the soy sauce-based soup, allowing you to fully enjoy the deliciousness of soy sauce ramen even though it is mapo noodles. The unique spiciness and deep flavor are said to be addictive, and have captivated many fans.

Choose your noodles to expand your taste

The photo shows dry mapo noodles.

The mapo noodles at "Garidebuchu" are characterized by their specially ordered medium-thick curly noodles . The smooth and chewy texture stands up to the rich mapo tofu , allowing you to fully enjoy the deliciousness of the noodles themselves. The spiciness and umami of the mapo tofu are intertwined, creating an exquisite balance that whets the appetite.

Another great thing about this ramen is that you can choose thin noodles according to your preference . They go perfectly with the rich mapo tofu, and you can enjoy different textures depending on the thickness of the noodles .

They also offer a complimentary rice service during lunch time , so you can enjoy rice with your mapo tofu as a side dish.

Find the way you like it and you'll be able to enjoy Garridebuchu's mapo noodles even more.

Our commitment to hot and spicy food

It's common to hear that the tingling sensation is expressed based on red and green sansho peppers, but they also add " grape sansho " from Wakayama Prefecture to the mix! The refreshing citrus aroma of the grape sansho makes it taste even more delicious.

The spicy chili peppers are a blend of Japanese, Chinese and Korean chili peppers, giving it a deep spiciness.

By the way, the spiciness and numbness can be selected from five levels each , so it can be fun to start with a mild one and gradually adjust the blend to find the spiciness you like.

The dandan noodles also come with mapo tofu on top.

The interior was extensively renovated on September 13, 2024.

At that time, the taste was changed and the mapo dandan noodles were renewed , making them even more delicious.

The difference between this and mapo noodles is that it uses sesame paste and sesame seeds, but by changing the soup to chicken broth, the dandan noodle elements are strengthened , resulting in a rich bowl of ramen .

Now that there is a big difference between this and mapo noodles , which one do you prefer? Or do you like both?

The fun of comparing the different flavors has been expanded, making it even more like Garridebuchu .

The newly renovated menu includes more belly-filling dishes that are perfect not only for those who like spicy food but also for big eaters!

With this renewal, a special menu item , fusion (G-style x Mapo) has been added!
This menu is designed to be more filling, and you can choose the amount of noodles up to 400g (before boiling) , so it's a punchy bowl. However, the basic rule is to enjoy the amount you can eat, so please try not to push yourself and leave all the noodles .

"Garidebuchu", a mapo noodle specialty restaurant from Sendai, will be participating in LIVEAZUMA for the first time! The name of the restaurant expresses their desire to deliver the happiness of a full stomach to everyone, whether they are thin or fat.
After 10 years of running a popular izakaya, they have combined mapo tofu and Chinese noodles to create mapo noodles, which they have perfected through extensive research. This is a rare opportunity to try ramen made in a wok.
This restaurant was selected by my student, Nishitani Miki, one of Japan's leading "Mapo noodle maniacs" and super spicy ramen girls. "Garidebuchu", which she confidently selected, offers a menu that can be enjoyed not only by those who like spicy ramen, but also by those who don't like spicy food.
