Cherry Blossoms at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo: Night Sakura Sea of Clouds

Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo unveiled its highly anticipated spring event, the Night Sakura Sea of Clouds, which will run from February 7 to April 13, 2025.

This captivating display will transform the hotel’s Japanese garden into a breathtaking spectacle adorned with cherry blossoms, paired with the enchanting atmosphere of the Tokyo Sea of Clouds.

Highlights

Dazzling Cherry Blossoms

Chinzanso Garden is home to various types of cherry blossom trees that bloom at different times, making it possible to enjoy sakura blooms from February through April.

As early bloomers such as the Kawazu cherry blossoms signal the arrival of spring in February, the garden will further flourish with vibrant Shuzenji cold cherry blossoms, delicate Okame cherry blossoms, and the eye-catching Sunlight cherry blossoms throughout March.

By mid-April, visitors will be able to witness the iconic Somei Yoshino and stunning double-flower cherry blossoms, showcasing over 20 varieties and 100 trees, creating a stunning pink landscape that captures the essence of the season.

Enchanting Nighttime Display

The Night Sakura Sea of Clouds experience will feature beautifully illuminated cherry blossoms against the backdrop of the Tokyo Sea of Clouds, creating a mesmerizing visual feast that enhances the natural beauty of the cherry trees.

A new addition this year is the Sky Pagoda, which aims to simulate the experience of cherry blossoms floating above the clouds, further immersing guests in this magical environment.

Delicious Sakura-themed Treats

In addition to the stunning scenery, Hotel Chinzanso will launch a selection of charming sakura-themed takeout sweets starting March 1.

Among these delights are the Sakura Mont Blanc (850 yen), featuring almond cream topped with fresh strawberries, and the Strawberry Paris-Brest (850 yen), combining light choux pastry with chocolate cream and fresh strawberries.

Adding to this delectable array is the Cherry Blossom and Pistachio Marble Cake (5,000 yen), an exquisite creation that showcases the delicate flavors of cherry blossom intertwined with rich pistachio.

These delightful treats, with their pastel hues, perfectly complement the spring season and make for wonderful gifts.

Unique Yoga Experience

Guests can also participate in Yoga in the Clouds on March 30, offering a unique yoga experience amidst the blooming cherry blossoms in the hotel’s aerial Serenity Garden.
