①Atsuta Festival

This traditional festival marks the beginning of summer in Nagoya and is held every year on June 5th. It is one of Nagoya's most famous festivals, with food stalls being set up from June 4th, the day before, and is a festival that is familiar to the locals. ​Shinto ceremonies and dedication ceremonies are held at Atsuta Shrine, and about 1,000 fireworks are launched at night.

Date and time: Thursday, June 5, 2025 *Scheduled

Location: Since it cannot be seen from the Atsuta Shrine grounds, it is recommended to view it from Shiratori Park or elsewhere.

Access example:

(Atsuta Shrine) Take the Nagoya from Nagoya Nagoya "Meitetsu Nagoya " Station, get off at "Jingumae" Station, and walk for 1 minute

(Shirotori Park) From JR Chuo"Nagoya " Station, transfer to Nagoya Municipal Subway Meijo Line at " Kaneyama " Station. Get off at "Atsuta Jingu Nishi" Station and walk for about 10 minutes.

Nagoya Minato Festival Fireworks Display

This large-scale fireworks display takes place at Nagoya Port on the third Monday of July every year (Marine Day). Approximately 3,000 fireworks light up the night sky, drawing many spectators. During the day, there are events such as marching bands and Japanese drum performances, and the excitement continues throughout the day.

Location: Nagoya Port Garden Pier

Access example: From JR Chuo"Nagoya " Station, transfer to Nagoya Municipal Subway Meiko Line at " Kaneyama " Station. Then get off at " Nagoya Port" Station and walk for about 6 minutes.

3) Toyota Oiden Festival

This festival is held in Toyota , which is easily accessible from Nagoya . Approximately 13,000 fireworks light up the night sky, creating a spectacular sight. The "Oiden Fireworks Show," which is synchronized with music, is a must-see. The "Oiden So-odori" dance is held on the eve of the festival, and the whole town becomes lively.

Location: Toyota City Station area

Access example: Take the Mount Higashiyama from Nagoya Municipal Subway "Nagoya " Station, then transfer to the Tsurumai Line at " Fushimi" Station and get off at "Toyota City" Station.
