What is Izu Granpal Park?

Izu Granpal Park is an amusement park located along the national highway in Futo, Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

With the much talked about zip line, roller sliders that are popular with children, and a 3D maze that even adults will find difficult, everyone from children to adults can enjoy themselves all day long. The "Dinosaur Area" where children can meet life-size dinosaurs is especially popular.

It's so impressive that even adults will be overwhelmed by its size! We'll introduce the "Dinosaur Area" in more detail later.

Izu Granpal Park is a leisure park with a large area of about 220,000 m2 that can be enjoyed by adults, children, and even dogs. The park is packed with attractions that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike, including the popular attraction [Zipline - Kaze KAZE] where you slide down a wire rope stretched in the air using a pulley, the wooden 3D ship-shaped maze [Ship-shaped 3D Maze - KAiZOKU -], the first of its kind in Japan, the [Free Play Area] with lots of fun play equipment that even small children can play on safely, such as ball trampolines, jungle gyms, and giant combination play equipment, and the [Dino Age Walk / Dino Age Cart] where life-sized dinosaurs live. [Dino Age Walk / Dino Age Cart] Experience a time slip to the age of dinosaurs! The horde of about 20 dinosaurs is life-sized! The long-necked herbivorous dinosaurs are overwhelmingly large, and the moving carnivorous dinosaurs look as if they could attack at any moment! Dino Age Walk allows you to explore the area where these dinosaurs live on foot, while Dino Age Kart is an attraction where you race through the area in a go-kart.

How to get to Izu Granpal Park

For those coming by train

●From Tokyo

Tokaido Shinkansen and Tokaido Main Line

Take the Ito Line from JR Atami Station to Ito Station

Approximately 30 minutes by Tokai Bus from Ito Station, or approximately 20 minutes by taxi

●From Shimoda

Take the Izu Kyuko Line to Izukogen Station

Approximately 20 minutes by Tokai Bus from Izukogen Station, or approximately 10 minutes by taxi

For those coming by car

Approximately 85 km from the Atsugi Interchange on the Tomei Expressway (take the Odawara-Atsugi Road to the Odawara-Nishi Interchange and then take National Route 135)

Approximately 55 km from the Numazu IC or Nagaizumi-Numazu IC on the Tomei Expressway (via the Izu Jukan Expressway, Izu Chuo Expressway, and Shuzenji Road)

Approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from Gotemba IC on the Tomei Expressway (via the Hakone Ashinoko Skyline, Izu Skyline, and Tokasayama Road)

Izu Granpal Park "Dinosaur Area"

In the dinosaur area, there is the "Dino Age Kart," where you can race through the area where dinosaurs live in a go-kart, and the "Dino Age Walk," where you can experience the ancient world through a leisurely stroll.

At both, you can experience a time-travel experience while being awed by the life-size dinosaurs.

Price: 600 yen per unit

Time: 1 lap, approximately 3 minutes

Eligibility: Drivers must be 135cm or taller, and children must be accompanied by a guardian.
