Dandadan’s Six Themed Zones: A Guided Tour Through the Exhibition
The Dandadan original art exhibition is designed as a narrative journey that captures the series’ weird, funny, and heartbreaking energy. Organized into six themed zones (plus a cinematic opening and a climactic finale), the show uses originals, reproduced art, audiovisuals, life-size figures, and immersive design to turn the pages of Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga into a walk-through experience. Here’s what visitors can expect in each area.
Opening Movie
A high-impact theater-style introduction primes visitors with a specially produced video that fuses the series’ rapid-fire action, eerie suspense, and playful romance. It’s the emotional hook that prepares you to view the originals with the right mood and attention.

This zone dives into the cast, Momo, Okarun, Hoshiko, and the supporting players, using character sketches, development notes, and key panels to explain personalities and relationships. By breaking down the visual choices and small narrative beats that define each character, the area reveals the chemistry and contradictions that make the series compelling.
2. Occult

Dedicated to ghosts, aliens, and other uncanny phenomena, this visually rich gallery showcases creature designs, atmospheric sequences, and large-scale prints. Mood lighting and curated panel flows emphasize how Dandadan balances horror and wonder, turning each supernatural encounter into a striking, unpredictable moment.

A behind-the-scenes deep dive includes an exclusive interview with author Yukinobu Tatsu, preliminary sketches, rough layouts, and extraordinarily rare original pages from chapters 1–3. This zone demystifies the creative process, showing how thumbnails become finished pages, and highlights the compositional and pacing choices that give the manga its distinctive rhythm and humor.
4. Occult Battles

The exhibition’s kinetic core features concentrated displays of the series’ most intense fight sequences, presented with dramatic lighting and sequential layouts to replicate motion and impact. Life-size figures of Momo and Okarun add scale and presence, allowing visitors to feel the raw physical energy that drives the story’s action.
5. Romcom

A tonal shift to the series’ warm, funny side showcases intimate panels, timing examples, and relationship timelines that spotlight the small gestures and expressions fueling the romance and humor. Softer lighting and playful design elements create a lighter atmosphere, reminding visitors that emotional stakes and laughs are integral to the saga.

Flow, Interactivity, and Photo Opportunities
The zones are arranged to take guests on an arc—introduction → character grounding → mysterious worldbuilding → creative process → explosive action → intimate comedy → climactic emotion—so the exhibition reads like a condensed, sensory retelling of Dandadan. Photo spots and life-size figures are placed at key moments (notably in the Occult Battles and Romcom areas), while the Making-of zone includes close-up process displays for fans who want to study detail without risking originals.
Together, the themed areas give fans rare access to original art and creator insight while offering newcomers a coherent, highly engaging introduction to why Dandadan has become one of Jump’s most talked-about titles. The show emphasizes visual inventiveness, tonal range, and character-driven stakes, delivering the series’ energy in full force.
