Meet Pingu This Summer at the YURAKUCHO MUSEUM!

The YURAKUCHO MUSEUM is bringing the whimsical world of Pingu, everyone's favorite penguin, to Tokyo from July 10 to September 6, 2026.

The More Than Just Cute!? Pingu Exhibition, themed around an amusement park, is a first-of-its-kind experiential event where visitors can see, touch, and play as they discover the multifaceted charm of Pingu.

Celebrating the franchise's legacy, the event pairs rare animation archives with modern, interactive installations.

Interactive Claymation Displays and Pingu-Speak Content

Pingu Exhibition

The exhibition features a deep dive into the 45-year history of the beloved stop-motion animation.

Visitors can get up close with rare, actual clay models used during the original animation production, alongside early studio logs and storyboards.

Fun, immersive zones focus on Pingu's rich facial expressions, humorous movements, and the mysterious Pingu-speak that transcends language barriers.

An exclusive photo spot modeled after Pingu's House from the TV series will also be available for visitors to step right into the animation.

The event features an exciting collaboration with world-renowned miniature photographer and likeness artist Tatsuya Tanaka, who boasts over 4 million followers on Instagram.

Three of Tanaka's famous Pingu-themed miniature works previously seen on social media will be physically exhibited for the very first time.

In addition, a brand-new, exclusive piece created specifically for this Tokyo exhibition is currently in development and will be unveiled to the public later during the run.
