USJ Halloween Horror Nights 2026: 15th Anniversary Guide

Celebrate 25 Years of USJ with the Most Extreme Autumn Lineup Yet!

Universal Studios Japan is taking its autumn celebrations to unprecedented extremes from September 10 to November 8, 2026.

Coinciding with the park's milestone 25th anniversary, this autumn also marks the 15th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights (kicking off September 11). Since debuting in 2011, this seasonal staple has completely transformed Japan's autumn leisure culture.

This year, it evolves into an uncharted realm of desperate, inescapable terror.

Unprecedented Terror at Halloween Horror Nights

The Halloween Horror Nights at USJ will be held from September 11 to November 8.

The 15th-anniversary lineup brings an interdimensional onslaught of fear, featuring everything from park-wide street experiences to survival horror games and massive anime collaborations.

Street Zombies

The park will be overrun by the largest number of zombies in USJ history. The everyday scenery is brutally swallowed up by massive hordes in a new story that condenses 15 years of absolute nightmare.

Zombie de Dance and Special Anniversary Show

Dance along to King Gnu's hit track SO BAD during the event. For the final performance of the night, a special medley will revive past iconic collaboration anthems like Ado's Show and Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS' Rat-tat-tat.

Fans can also witness the ultimate gathering of past horror legends in the special stage show, Halloween Horror Nights Academy ~15 Years of Screams~.

Brand-New and Returning Cult-Favorite Horror Attractions

From survival games to psychological thrillers, guests can plunge into an array of heart-pounding attractions.

Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive

Celebrating the franchise's 30th anniversary, this brand-new immersive attraction drops guests right into the ruined Renwood Hotel and sanitarium. Creatures attack from all directions, pushing visitors to their absolute limits. (Runs September 11 – December 27, 2026).

Anime and Pop-Culture Heavyweights

Face off against terrifying devils in Chainsaw Man: The Chaos 4-D. Afterward, hop on Hollywood Dream - The Ride: Backdrop to hear Kenshi Yonezu’s new track IRIS OUT (the theme song for the movie Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc) on a thrilling, backward-facing coaster.

Other Spine-Chilling Experiences

Face the darkness in the returning Sadako's Curse: Dark Horror Ride, escape the zombie factory in Factory of Fear, or explore the emotional, reality-bending KATE PRESENTS The Witch of District 18.

Special Anniversary Additions Across the Park

It's not all scares! The park is also rolling out limited-time programs across its major areas to celebrate its 25th anniversary and Super Nintendo World's 5th anniversary.

Super Nintendo World 5th Anniversary Upgrades

For the first time ever, colorful Pink Yoshi and Light Blue Yoshi will make their park debut for exclusive character greetings.

Additionally, the popular Bowser Jr. Shadow Showdown will be powered up into an invincibility version for the anniversary. (Runs September 10, 2026 – January 11, 2027).

JAWS: Red Alert and Jurassic Park: In the Dark

After sunset, the classic JAWS boat tour turns pitch-black and shrouded in thick fog. When the giant shark emerges, the waters turn blood-red for a high-tension experience. 

Jurassic Park - The Ride will also plunge riders into the pitch-black abyss after dark.

Hogwarts™ Castle Walk Resumes

Grab your favorite house robe and scarf! The popular walking tour inside the majestic Hogwarts™ Castle officially returns for a limited time starting September 1.

To make the most of the season, USJ is releasing special ticket bundles, skip-the-line passes, and student discounts.

Special Viewing Area Tickets: Get front-row access to the Halloween Horror Nights Academy show at Gramercy Park. (On sale from July 14; prices vary by date, starting from 2,100 yen).

Autumn 1-Day Student Pass: Middle school, high school, and university students with a valid student ID get 1,000 yen off their 1-Day Studio Pass for visits between September 10 and September 30. (On sale from July 10).

Universal Express Pass 4: Skip the lines for the hottest seasonal attractions, including the new Resident Evil and Chainsaw Man experiences. (On sale from July 14; prices vary by date, starting from 11,800 yen).
