Dragon Quest the DIVE Comes to Osaka in 2027

Dragon Quest the DIVE - To a Stage of Adventure Yet Unseen -, an exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic Japanese RPG series, is coming to Osaka from January 26 to March 14, 2027.

Following a successful Tokyo run that attracted more than 90,000 visitors and completely sold out, the exhibition will take over the Knowledge Capital Event Lab at Grand Front Osaka.

Fans can step into the world of Dragon Quest through an immersive VR attraction, themed exhibition areas, exclusive merchandise, and a special collaboration café.

Race Through the Dragon Quest World on a VR Ride

At the heart of the exhibition is Dragon Quest VR RIDE, an immersive attraction combining Meta Quest 3 headsets with motion seats.

Visitors can race across vast grasslands on the back of a Great Sabrecat, dodge monsters while speeding through a forest, encounter enemies in battle, and soar through the sky while feeling real wind effects.

The experience surrounds riders with a 360-degree Dragon Quest world, creating the sensation of jumping directly into an adventure from the legendary game series.

Admission to the VR RIDE is included with the exhibition ticket, with one ride permitted per visitor.

Exclusive Legendary Sword Pin Badges

A special ticket featuring an exclusive set of three Legendary Sword pin badges will also be available.

The collectible set recreates three famous weapons from the Dragon Quest series: the Sword of Erdrick, Zenithian Sword, and Supreme Sword of Light.

Each sword is intricately reproduced and displayed in a special frame featuring the Dragon Quest 40th anniversary logo.

The pin badge sets are limited in quantity and will be available while supplies last.

Dragon Quest Collaboration Café in Osaka

A Dragon Quest collaboration café is also planned for the Osaka exhibition.

The café will feature a different menu from the one served during the Tokyo event, with further details to be announced at a later date.

Only visitors with an exhibition ticket will be able to use the café. Each ticket allows one person to visit the café once during the exhibition period, although admission may be restricted during busy periods.

Tickets Go on Sale in September

Advance ticket sales through the Square Enix App begin on September 8, 2026 at 10:00 and continue until September 24.

Lawson Ticket advance sales will follow from October 6 to 20, with general ticket sales beginning on October 21, 2026 at 10:00.

All tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and require visitors to select a specific date and admission time.
