Kagawa

Kagawa prefecture is found in the northeast side of Shikoku, and is the end point of the 88 Buddhist Temple Shikoku Pilgrimage route.

Takamatsu is the capital of Kagawa, where you will find Takamatsu Castle and Ritsurin Garden, but its outlying islands of Shodoshima, Naoshima, and Teshima each have their own charms too, including some impressive modern and classic art museums. Kagawa is also known as the udon prefecture, as one of their most famous dishes is Sanuki udon.
