Kiyose Sunflower Festival

The Kiyose Sunflower Festival is one of the largest sunflower festivals in Tokyo.

Due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection, the Kiyose Sunflower Festival has been canceled for three consecutive years, but this year in 2023, with the coronavirus restrictions having eased, the festival is scheduled to be held for the first time in four years.

Approximately 100,000 sunflowers bloom in the vast 24,000 square meter farmland, and many people from Japan and abroad gather to see the sunflowers of Kiyose from July to August.

During the festival, there will also be events such as a photography contest, as well as sales of fresh vegetables and cut sunflowers picked from nearby fields.

If you are planning a trip to Japan in July, be sure to visit to see the sunflowers.
