While "calligraphy" refers to literally learning how to write by looking at a model, "calligraphy" is a traditional Japanese art of expressing oneself through writing. Unlike calligraphy, there is no rule of writing according to a model, and you can enjoy free expression.

First, the instructor, Ms. Kiju Himi writes a model with all her heart. Her appearance is beautiful, as if she is dancing, and all the participants watch with great interest as they watch their dignified and spirited movements. The model is not only the written words, but also the way the writing itself is written. Ms. Himi embodies the idea that calligraphy is not just about moving your arms, but about writing with your soul and whole body.

Now that the participants have learned from the example, it's time to put it into practice! You learn with your body, not your head, as you take a breather, put your heart into it, and carry your brush along with your instructor.

Write with all your heart and soul. The momentary scratches and splashes of ink all created a one-of-a-kind work, and some participants had their names written in by the instructor's brush.

Although the time it took to write the work was fleeting, everyone was able to deeply appreciate the depth that comes from its simplicity.
