Echizen tile factory tour & mini onigawara making experience / Echizen Ceramica

Make your own "Echizen tile".

"Echizen tiles" are a traditional material that protects roofs in Fukui. You will tour the factory while learning about the history, characteristics, and manufacturing process of tiles. It is impressive to see the large machines and kilns that reach over 1200℃ in operation. After that, you will use a plaster mold to create your own mini onigawara (demon tile).
