[From Kyoto to Nara by Kintetsu!] How to get from Shinkansen/JR Kyoto Station to Kintetsu Kyoto Station

When you arrive at JR Kyoto Station, head to the West Exit ticket gate.

If you are transferring from the JR line to the Kintetsu line at Kyoto Station, head to the West Exit ticket gates first. From each conventional line platform, use the stairs, escalators, or elevators to go up to the floor where the West Exit ticket gates are located, and then exit through the ticket gates.

After exiting the ticket gate, go left towards Hachijo West Exit.

Go straight and then take the stairs or escalator down to the lower floor.

After walking straight for a while, you will see a staircase and an escalator leading down ahead. The elevator is on the left side of the corridor.

You will see a sign that says "Kintetsu Line Platform".

After going down the stairs and escalators, go straight and you will see the sign above you that says "Kintetsu Line Platform." Turn right here.

Arrived at the ticket gate of Kintetsu Kyoto Station

There is a ticket counter and station office to the left of the ticket gate. It takes about 3 minutes from the Kyoto Station West Exit ticket gate to the Kintetsu Kyoto Station ticket gate.

How to get from Shinkansen Kyoto Station to Kintetsu Kyoto Station

When you arrive at Kyoto Station by Shinkansen, head towards the "Shinkansen Chuo Exit" ticket gate. When you exit the "Shinkansen Chuo Exit" ticket gate, you will see Kintetsu Kyoto Station directly in front of you.
