Multi-Ecube is a multi-functional locker that combines four services—deposit, reservation, shipping, and receiving. 
Unlike conventional lockers, you can search for and reserve an available locker in advance via the website. In addition to storing your luggage, you can have it delivered to your hotel or another designated location.

3. Expanding Across Japan From Tokyo to Kansai

Multi-Ecube is being rolled out across Japan, mainly at JR East stations. It is available at major terminals in the Tokyo metro area—including Tokyo, Shinjuku, Shinagawa, Shibuya, and Yokohama—as well as in Kyoto and Osaka, such as Kyoto, Kyobashi, and Temmabashi stations. 
By fiscal 2026, around 1,000 machines and 30,000 outlets are planned, with most located in Tokyo-area train stations.

How to Make Reservation

1. Register as a member on the website (email address and credit card required)
2. Select the date, station, locker, size, etc. you want to use and make a reservation.                                                              3.On the morning of the day of use (around 2:05 AM), you will be notified via the website and email of your reserved locker details, reservation number, and QR code.                                                                                                                                  4.  Leave your luggage in the reserved locker and retrieve it after use. *You can only deposit and retrieve your luggage once.

On the morning of the day of use (around 2:05 AM), the reserved locker information details, reservation number, and QR code will be notified on the website and by email.                                                                                                                      4. Leave your luggage in the reserved locker by 11:00 AM .                                                                                                5. Your luggage will arrive at the hotel by 6:00 PM and you can pick it up at the hotel counter.

Multi-Ecube also offers the “Locker Anywhere Delivery Service,” which allows you to have luggage stored in a locker delivered to a location of your choice anywhere in Japan (excluding remote islands). For example, if you are traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto, you can have luggage you won’t need in Tokyo sent directly to your Kyoto hotel. You can specify the delivery date to coincide with your check-in.

Before using this service, check the hotel’s website to confirm the address and whether they accept luggage delivery. Be sure to enter the guest name exactly as registered with the hotel, using the same alphabet characters if applicable.

Unlike regular courier services that require visiting an office and filling out forms, this service lets you reserve online and drop off your luggage at a station locker. Copying the hotel’s Japanese address from the official website makes the process simple, even if you don’t read Japanese.

2. Make a reservation by entering the desired station, locker, shipping date, delivery address, etc. *Reservations can be made from one week in advance until 8:00 PM on the day of delivery.
3. On the morning of your reservation (around 2:05 AM), you will be notified via the website and email with your reserved locker details, reservation number, and QR code.                                                                                                                       4.  Leave your luggage in the reserved locker by 8:00 PM . *Only packaged luggage or suitcases can be delivered. ⑤ Pick up your luggage at the specified address (if you have chosen a hotel as your delivery address, you will generally pick it up at the hotel counter).
